Tri-Lateral Partners with the Canadian Security Association

The Tri-Lateral has proven to be so successful in the past four years that the organizing committee was faced with an interesting dilemma if we wanted to move forward. Victims of our own success, the size of the conference and its logistical requirements were rapidly outpacing the capacity of the all volunteer board. We could no longer put in the hundreds of hours that were required to organize it and we needed help. We knew it but we were stuck on how we should go about it since we still wanted to preserve the quality and flavour of the event. How could we accomplish that when we knew we needed to turn it over to someone with more experience and resources? How could we still maintain some control and continue on a not-for-profit basis?
As it turns out, the Canadian Security Association (CANASA) was of the same mindset of the Tri-Lateral committee. CANASA is a national non-profit organization, established in 1977, dedicated to promoting the interests of its members and the safety and security of all Canadians. It is a recognized voice of the security industry and has a growing membership of more than 1,300 companies across Canada, representing all segments of the industry.
Perfect! It is an organization that is established and has tremendous experience and expertise in organizing trade shows and other security events on a scale well beyond that of the Tri-Lateral. This led to the two organizations meeting to determine whether or not we could each support each other to help continue to grow the Tri-Lateral Security Conference for the mutual benefit of the members of the security community and our respective organizations. The result is a brand new partnership with CANASA to deliver SECURITY CANADA ALBERTA to show case the Tri-Lateral Security Conference program and a quality security trade show.

| “Security Canada Alberta will incorporate the Tri-Lateral Security Conference program which is designed to provide a unique opportunity to learn from world class experts on a broad number of overlapping topics in the fields of logical security, physical security, security management, privacy, law enforcement and intelligence groups. We are very excited to announce the new partnership with the Tri-Lateral Security Conference. They have run their conference for several years with a top notch conference program and a small trade show,” says JF Champagne, executive director of the Canadian Security Association. “ |
